Camp Out Dates

The Roamers have a camp out 8 months of the year, March, April, May, June, July, September, October and November.  We have a Christmas party in December and toward the last of January or the first of February we have an Eatin’ Meetin’.

The Wagon Master will make the reservations and any other plans for our camp out.  The reservations will be made for Friday and Saturday evenings, but most of the Roamers will arrive toward the beginning of the week.  Some may be there on Monday, but most will arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.  Then others may not get there until the weekend. 

The Wagon Master may plan a tour or some other activity if there is anything of interest in the area.  He will make reservations at a local restaurant for Friday evening.  Saturday evening we have a potluck dinner and business meeting at the campgrounds.

During the camp out the women that are game players will play some games, Hand and Foot, Pegs and Jokers, Mexican Train, etc.  The men will sit around a campfire [when allowed] and solve all the world’s problems.  Some of the men at times will join in on the games also.  Some members may take some side trips that interest them, lead us to an interesting restaurant or just go into a nearby Walmart.  We have free time for you to do what you want to do.
